Visual turn in the teaching of the History of Medicine

Abstract

Under the influence of the visual turn, the history of image, as the intersection of art history, book history, technological history, scientific history technology history, science history and medical history, has gradually formed a unique analytical framework and methods. In the past, images were often used as embellishment to alleviate resolve seriousness and boredom. This paper will try to multi-dimensionally discusses the relevance, practicability and significance of image history, especially its characteristic methodology and framework in the teaching of the History of Medicine, so as to provide reference for the reform of medical humanities teaching.
