Effects of sodium butyrate on the production performance, lipid metabolism, and egg quality of grass chickens in northern Jiangsu
目的 探讨丁酸钠在苏北草鸡日粮中的适宜使用量及其应用效果。 方法 采用随机数字表法将120羽140日龄苏北草鸡均分成4组,每组30羽,每组设置3个重复,每个重复10羽。对照组苏北草鸡饲喂基础日粮,试验Ⅰ组、试验Ⅱ组和试验Ⅲ组苏北草鸡饲喂的基础日粮中分别0.05%、0.10%和0.15%的丁酸钠,试验期为42 d。试验结束后测定苏北草鸡的生产性能、蛋品质和脂质代谢的考量指标。 结果 与对照组相比,试验Ⅰ组、试验Ⅱ组和试验Ⅲ组苏北草鸡的产蛋率分别提高了1.69%、2.19%和2.15%,料蛋比分别降低了0.18、0.35和0.28;鸡蛋的哈夫单位分别提高了2.7、4.24和3.7,鸡血清中的总胆固醇(TC)的含量分别降低0.88、1.48和1.21 mmol/L,甘油三酯(TG)的含量分别降低4.07、9.42和8.38 mmol/L。其中,试验Ⅱ组的综合指标较好。 结论 饲粮中添加丁酸钠可以提高苏北草鸡的生产性能,改善蛋品质,降低血清中TC、TG和LDL-C的含量,在饲粮中添加0.10%丁酸钠的效果为佳。
Objectives The appropriate dosage and effects of adding sodium butyrate to the diet for grass chickens in northern Jiangsu were studied to provide theoretical reference for the application of sodium butyrate in farming laying hens. Methods 120 grass chickens in northern Jiangsu aged 140-day-old were divided into 4 groups using a random number table method, with 30 chickens in each group. Each group had 3 replicates, with 10 chickens in each replicate. The control group of grass chickens in northern Jiangsu was fed with basic diet, while the experimental groups I, II, and III were fed with 0.05%, 0.10%, and 0.15% sodium butyrate in the basic diet for 42 days. The production performance, egg quality, and lipid metabolism of grass chickens in northern Jiangsu were measured after ending the experiment. Results Compared with the control group, the egg production rate of grass chickens in northern Jiangsu in Experiment I, Experiment II, and Experiment III groups increased by 1.69%, 2.19%, and 2.15%, while the ratio of feed to egg decreased by 0.18, 0.35, and 0.28, respectively. The Huff units of eggs increased by 2.7, 4.24, and 3.7, respectively. The content of total cholesterol (TC) in chicken serum decreased by 0.88, 1.48, and 1.21 mmol/L, and the content of triglyceride (TG) decreased by 4.07, 9.42, and 8.38 mmol/L, respectively. Among them, the comprehensive indexes of Experiment Group II were good. Conclusions Adding sodium butyrate to the diet can improve the production performance, egg quality, and reduce the content of TC, TG, and LDL-C in serum of grass chickens in northern Jiangsu. The best effect was achieved by adding 0.10% sodium butyrate to the diet.
