Abstract

Health food quality and safety evaluation is an elective course for all students at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, which contains rich ideological and political elements. In the context of curriculum-based ideological and political education in Chinese universities, this paper discusses approaches to implement ideological and political education from the perspectives of recasting course objectives, enhancing teachers’ awareness and capability of ideological and political education, and exploring ideological and political elements in the course. The instructional process is designed to establish a teaching system that integrates ideological and political education in health food quality and safety evaluation and thus fulfills the fundamental task of fostering virtue.
