Abstract

Objectives The integration of the BOPPPS teaching mode into the value education in course of Animal Biochemistry was designed to stimulate the enthusiasm for learning of students. Methods The current problems in constructing the value education in the course of Animal Biochemistry and the characteristics of each link in the BOPPPS teaching mode were analyzed. The design for teaching was optimized. The effect of teaching was evaluated. The experiences and lessons were summarized. Results There were problems including insufficient integration, single approach, and poor effectiveness in constructing the value education in the course of Animal Biochemistry. The teaching design for the integration of the value education in the course into each link in the BOPPPS teaching mode was completed. 88% of students considered that the integration of elements of value education increased the fun of classroom and achieved good effect of teaching. Conclusions Integrating the value education into the BOPPPS teaching mode in course of Animal Biochemistry should pay attention to the principles including combining explicit and implicit, moderation, and flexibility. In the future, further optimization of design is needed to better achieve the effect of " a subtle influence" in educating values in the course.
