Abstract

Objectives The effects of applying and promoting the comprehensive farming technology and model of rice-fish and black carp in Baise were analyzed to provide reference for promoting the scientific and rational development of the comprehensive farming industry of rice and fish. Methods The demonstration bases/sites, and farmers of promoting the application of " Comprehensive Farming Technology for Black Carp and Rice-Fish in Baise " within the scope of Baise City were investigated, and the project data from 2017 to 2022 were collected. The difference was analyzed by Chi-square test. Results The effects of applying and promoting the farming technology was significant, with the farming area developed from 13.2 hm2 in 2017 to 916.3 hm2 in 2022. Since the implementation of the project in 2018, except for fluctuations in the growth rate in 2021, all other years had a positive growth year-on-year. After applying and promoting the farming technology, the total yield and unit area yield of black carp in rice fields in 2022 significantly increased by 111.11% and 11.52% compared to 2018. The total yield and unit area yield of rice significantly increased by 104.43% and 15.57%, respectively. Conclusions The comprehensive farming technology for black carp and rice-fish in Baise is a mature and an important circular ecological agricultural technology that can be widely integrated and extended.
