Abstract

Epoxy resin/carbon fiber composites have the problems of high brittleness and poor impact toughness. In order to improve the properties of epoxy resin/carbon fiber, graphene was used to modify epoxy resin/carbon fiber. Graphene was grafted with silane coupling agent KH-560. Grafted graphene was reacted with waterborne epoxy resin to prepare epoxy resin/carbon fiber/graphene composites. The results show that when graphene content is 5%, the interface properties between carbon fiber and epoxy resin are the best. After KH-560 grafting, the elastic modulus, tensile displacement, and interfacial shear strength of epoxy resin were improved.
