Application of "5D" thinking mode in clinical teaching of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Objective To evaluate the application effect of “5D” thinking mode in clinical teaching of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Methods Forty-seven interns in the trauma Joint Department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to the arrangement of the Education Department, the interns from January to June 2022 were divided into the experimental group, and the interns from July to December 2022 were selected as the control group. In clinical teaching, the experimental group adopted the “5D” thinking mode. The control group adopted traditional thinking mode. After 2 months of teaching, the clinical knowledge and skills of the two groups of students were assessed, and the teaching method and learning effect were investigated by questionnaire. SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data. Results The theoretical knowledge mastery level and clinical practice ability scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05), and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusion The innovation of “5D” clinical teaching thinking mode can obviously help students better grasp clinical knowledge and clinical practice skills, and greatly improve the learning effect and students' satisfaction with clinical teaching of TCM orthopedics and traumatology, which is worthy of promotion in the practice teaching of TCM orthopedics and traumatology.
