The fundamental mission of education is to cultivate morality and nurture talent， with course-based ideological and political education being a key strategy for achieving this mission. Integrating ideological and political elements deeply into professional courses allows students to naturally enhance their moral qualities while mastering professional knowledge and skills. The field practice in medicinal botany provides fertile ground for implementing such education. Based on this， a new field practice teaching model called “one acquisition and four cultivation” is proposed. This model is divided into four modules， each with specific implementation plans， evaluation criteria， and targeted training objectives. The evaluation system includes elements related to skills， ideological and political education， personal qualities， labor， and aesthetic education. The training objectives encompass skill development， ideological and political growth， quality improvement， labor education， and aesthetic appreciation. The application of this model lays a solid foundation for cultivating traditional Chinese medicine professionals with both firm ideals and exceptional skills.
